The Property

An Exclusive Stretch of Roatan

Ibagari is a beachfront wedding venue on an exclusive stretch of Roatan, Honduras, between West Bay and West End — an adults-only boutique hotel that hosts a single celebration at a time. For your dates, the property is yours: the pool deck, the restaurant, the terraces and the sand in front of the hotel.

That is the difference between a beach wedding and a resort wedding. There is no second event across the lawn, no wristbands, no strangers in your photographs. Eighteen suites and homes, one coordinator, and the second-largest coral reef in the world beginning a few steps offshore.

Planning

One Coordinator, Start to Finish

Planning a destination wedding from another country is mostly a problem of trust. You are booking a place you have not stood in, from vendors you have not met, in a language that may not be yours. Our event coordinator is the single point of contact from the first email to the last guest transfer.

  • Dedicated on-site event coordinator
  • Ceremony, reception and rehearsal-dinner setups
  • Catering and bar by Luna Muna
  • Full buyout of the hotel for your dates
  • Airport transfers for you and your guests
  • Vendor coordination — florals, music, photography, officiant
  • Legal and symbolic ceremonies in Honduras

Before You Ask

Questions We Always Get

How many guests can Ibagari host for a wedding?

Ibagari hosts weddings from 2 to 150 guests. Because we host one wedding at a time, a buyout puts your whole party on the property — eighteen suites and homes — and the coordinator confirms the details against your dates.

Can we get legally married in Roatan as foreigners?

Yes. Honduras allows foreign nationals to marry, and our coordinator works with a local officiant to handle the paperwork. Many couples marry legally at home and hold the symbolic ceremony here — both are common, and we plan either.

When is the best time of year for a wedding in Roatan?

March through August brings the calmest water and the most reliable sun. The island is warm year-round; the wetter months run late October into December. Sunset lands between 5:30 and 6:30 depending on the season, which is what sets your ceremony time.

How do our guests get to Roatan?

Roatan has its own international airport (RTB), with direct flights from Houston, Miami, Atlanta, Dallas and Toronto, plus connections through mainland Honduras. The hotel is a short transfer from the terminal, and we arrange it for the whole party.

Is the hotel adults-only? Can children attend the wedding?

Yes, children can attend. During a wedding buyout, children are welcome at the celebration and on the property for the days the buyout covers. Outside of buyouts the hotel welcomes guests aged 12 and over, and Ibagari Homes, our beachfront residences, welcome guests of all ages.
