A MICHELIN Key in 2025 and again in 2026: the first and only hotel in Honduras.
“A Very Special Stay”
According to the Michelin Guide, receiving one Key means “a very special stay”. It is granted only to hotels that are true gems: places with soul, character and an identity so distinctive that it transcends expectations, with service that always goes one step further.
In 2025 Ibagari Boutique Hotel was awarded one Michelin Key, becoming the first and only hotel in Honduras and Roatan to receive this honour. In 2026 the Guide awarded the Key again. Michelin Keys cannot be requested, purchased or obtained by invitation. The Guide evaluates independently and anonymously: its inspectors arrived, observed, lived our hospitality, and decided it deserved international recognition.
It Belongs to the Island
The Key reflects the daily work of every team, and a commitment woven into the essence of the hotel: caring for every detail, honouring our philosophy, and offering each guest an experience that brings them closer to the art of living.
For Honduras it marks a turning point. It places the country, and our beloved Roatan, on the global map of high-end hospitality. This Key is not only Ibagari's: it belongs to the whole island, to the Honduran community and to everyone who believes in the value of our culture, our service and our warmth.
